About Tidewater Comicon
Each and every year, the Tidewater Comicon takes geekiness to the next level. As a comic event, it promises big things and aims to deliver. And as a con from modest origins, it has grown to be an amazing event for everyone in the con community!
First, the number of guests that have attended this one is outrageously cool. There’s Dante Basco and Johnny Yong Bosch are sure to be hits. There’s also Khary Patyon, Nafessa Williams, Larry Kenney, and so many more! In fact, there’s more comic books creators than you can shake a… pencil at!
Of course, what’s a con without the cosplay? During the event, you’ll get to see tons of it! From zombies to Wonder Woman, there’s no end to the imagination. And on the subject of cosplay, the cosplay contest brings out some serious contenders to the mix. See if you have what it takes to win! You have a chance to win cash prizes, trophies, and swag in a variety of categories that will make any geek smile.
Still, we love the panels that this event puts together. Because so many enthusiast make sure to come, once you bring the big names, you’re talking about one big thing. And that’s some geeky talk and debate. Just don’t forget about the vendors!
Finally, the story behind Tidewater Comicon is one of a personal passion. For Mike Federali, it was all about bringing the area a quality con event that everyone could love. What did this mean? Selling his entire comic collection at flea markets and garage sales, until he was able to make the con possible. From a one day event with plenty of fans to a showstopper with a larger-than-life 23,000 fan crowd, this con has become a con for the ages. And for nerds, it’s a must attend!
